UPDATE: Fire Breaks Out At Paradise Pets In Beckley

BECKLEY (WOAY) – Emergency crews are on the scene of a structure fire at Paradise Pets.

Dispatchers tell WOAY that at around 11:15 a car struck a gas meter behind the building, which caused the building to catch on fire.

Police are looking for a Green Ford F-150 truck that hit the car and ran then hit another car on Robert C Byrd Drive. The truck has damage on the front end and if you see this truck you are asked to call 911.

Seven fire crews are on scene and part of Robert C Byrd Drive is Closed.

Paradise Pets is located in Cohen Street.

Most of the animals did make it out and are being sheltered by nearby neighbors.

Beckley, Sophia Area, Sophia City, Bradley-Prosperity, Coal City, Beaver, and Mabscott responded and battling the flames.
