Fayetteville Woman Looking For The Person That Shot Her Horse

FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – A Fayette County woman is mourning the loss of her horse after someone shot her.

Lenza Paul tells WOAY NewsWatch that her horse, Molly, was shot Wednesday evening at around 6:45 pm on Laurel Creek Road standing in her pasture.   A small caliber bullet was found in the horse.

Molly had to be euthanized at around 9:30 pm Wednesday.  Her condition was rapidly deteriorating and the Emergency vet came and determined she would not survive the trip to Virginia Tech and recommended she be euthanized.  The bullet likely hit her kindey because she was straining, urinating blood.

Lenza is completely heartbroken. She is wanting to warn all horse owners to be on the lookout.

If you have any information or seen anyone near that area on Wednesday evening that may have shot the horse, please contact police.
