Fayetteville Woman Charged And Arrested For Stolen Credit & Debit Cards

FAYETTEVILLE, WV (NEWS RELEASE) – A Fayette County woman is in jail for allegedly using a stolen debit card.

Early Friday morning, arrest warrants were executed on Amanda Star Bowyer, 34, Fayetteville for multiple felony counts stemming from an investigation involving a stolen Credit/Debit card. Bowyer is accused of stealing the card from an immediate family member’s home and making multiple unauthorized transactions totaling several hundred dollars.

Bowyer is facing five felony counts of Computer Fraud, and five felony counts of Fraudulent Use of an Access Device. Her bond was set at $25,000.00 by the Fayette County Magistrate’s Office.

“Stealing from family is very tragic, but is also very common,” says Sheriff Fridley. “Sometimes tough love is the better option rather than ignoring the problem and enabling bad habits”.
