Fayetteville sets up community plant stand

FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – The Fayetteville Convention and Visitors Bureau has put out a community plant stand.

Anyone can visit the stand at the center and either pick a plant up or drop one of theirs off.

CVB Director Tabitha Stover says members of the community have wanted this, and with an increased interest in plants and gardening, now seemed like the perfect time.

“You can just come grab a  plant  and if you have extra cuttings, we also appreciate when people drop them off, and we’ve had a lot of people participate,” she said. “We filled it up, all of those plants disappeared and lots of community members have just brought back cuttings, so it’s really cool to see it take off.”

The stand is located on the porch of the CVB.
