Fayetteville Police Warning Citizens Of Dognapping

FAYETTEVILLE (WOAY) – Fayetteville Police are warning citizens of possible attempted dognapping.

According to the Fayetteville Police Department, an older model Explorer darker in color with maybe CB antennas (one on the back window and one on the side) was seen in town calling and whistling for a dog to come to the car. The owner was thankfully nearby and once they spotted him the vehicle took off.

After hearing of several dogs missing nearby we thought it would be a good idea to let the public know so they can watch closely when letting their dogs out.

Call the Fayette County Emergency Services Non-Emergency number at 304-574-3590 to report any suspicious activity.
