Fayetteville nursing home sees an increase of three positive cases

FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – After testing with the health department again last week, Fayette Nursing and Rehab in Fayetteville returned 3 new positive residents.

Health officer Dr. Anita Stewart says all are asymptomatic.

“We are going to be re-testing the residents that are in that hallway today, so we’ll see if we have any other ones but everyone is asymptomatic and doing well right now and no new staff are positive,” Dr. Stewart said.

The health department plans to re-test the entire facility on Thursday. This brings their total to eight residents and one staff member.

There have been no new positive results at the Hidden Valley Center in Oak Hill.
