Fayetteville man arrested on drug charges

FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – A traffic stop in Fayette County yields a drug arrest.

Sheriff Mike Fridley says, on Monday afternoon, a Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy was conducting traffic enforcement on Deepwater Mountain Road (WV Rt. 61) outside of Oak Hill. The Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an infraction. A subsequent search located two large bags of marijuana, bags of heroin along with bags of cocaine and packaging materials.

Evan Evans, 32 of Fayetteville, was arrested and charged with the felony crime of Possession With Intent to Deliver Narcotics and several traffic offenses.

He will now await court proceedings.
