Fayette County Woman Steals Her Parents Vehicle While Out Of Town

SCARBRO, WV (WOAY) – A Fayette County woman is in jail for stealing her parents vehicle and one man is in jail for possession of a firearm.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department received a call of a stolen vehicle, where the daughter stole her parents vehicle while they were out of town and her accomplice drove her car. Deputies pulled over Phillip Edward Gray and found a handgun with several rounds of ammo.

Gray is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing firearms.

Caitlyn Murdock arrived to the scene in the stolen vehicle and deputies noticed her pupils to be dilated. She failed the field sobriety tests that were performed.

Murdock is charged with grand larceny and driving under the influence.  Gray is charged with prohibited person with with a firearm, open container, and driving suspended. Both are being held in the Southern Regional Jail.
