Gauley Bridge, WV (WOAY) – A Gauley Bridge woman is facing felony charges related to a shooting in Fayette County.
According to a press release from Fayette County Sheriff Jess McMullen, 48-year-old Marium Bria, of Gauley Bridge has been charged with the felony offense of Wanton Endangerment and Attempted Murder.
Fayette County Deputies received a call on Monday, February 10, 2025, about a shooting that had occurred the night before on February 9, 2025. Once deputies arrived on scene, the victim stated that he was at his girlfriends (Marium Bria) house, and that she had attempted to tase him when he tried to leave, and that she shot at, and hit, his car when he drove away.
Detectives with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department Detective Bureau obtained a search warrant for the property as well as an arrest warrant which was executed by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department Tac Team.
Bria was taken into custody at her residence without incident.
