Fayette County Woman Arrested For Arson Trying To Kill Her Husband

MEADOW BRIDGE, WV (WOAY) – A woman was arrested and charged for arson after setting her house on fire so she could kill her husband.

According to court documents, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department was called to a home in Meadow Bridge after a fire was ruled foul play. Judith Forren, 68, told the deputy “I lit it on fire so that I could get away from him” referring to her husband. Forren went on to tell the deputy she wished that she had waited until her husband had gone to sleep before she set the mattress on fire so that she could’ve made sure that she killed them both.

Forren was placed under arrest and the deputy interviewed the husband. He told the deputy “she takes them spells every now and then”. Another witness was interviewed and stated that Judith had threatened to set the house on fire on numerous occasions.

Forren is now out on bond.
