FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – A Fayette County woman is in jail following a serious domestic incident.
Sheriff Mike Fridley says on Tuesday afternoon Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a domestic incident in the Powellton area. Deputies found evidence indicating that a male party had at one point locked himself in a room to avoid a female party, at which time she retrieved a large caliber handgun and discharged it through the door he was barricaded behind. The bullet appeared to have narrowly missed the male’s shoulder. After this, he was able to disarm her and call for police.
Caroldeen Bowles, 64 of Powellton, was arrested and charged with Wanton Endangerment, Brandishing a Deadly Weapon and Domestic Battery. She will now await court proceedings.
