Fayette County Schools rounds out groundbreaking ceremonies at Oak Hill High School

OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – Fayette County Schools concluded their groundbreaking ceremonies on Tuesday at Oak Hill High School.

Oak Hill High School’s renovations will include a life skills room and auxiliary gym, an electrical upgrade, as well as science lab renovations.

The high school’s renovation project is one of four school projects in Phase 2 of Fayette County’s school building upgrades.

“When they’re conducive to learning teachers are happier, students are happier, parents are happier and ultimately the kids get a better education because of the environment,” BOE Vice President Steve Slockett said.

This concludes their groundbreaking ceremonies for the four schools and all construction projects are expected to begin immediately.
