Fayette County, WV (WOAY) – A Fayette County motorcycle club is making preparations for a community service event.
The Brothers of the Wheel East Plateau Chapter has been working for the last couple of weeks to prepare for a community Easter egg hunt scheduled for later in the month of April.
The club is working with Fayette County Special Olympics, Girl Scout Troop 10486 of the Black Diamond Council and Speedworks to collect candy and stuff Easter eggs for the event.
The group tells WOAY that this is an opportunity for them to partner with other organizations and give back to the community for supporting them.

Jason Pemberton says, “It started out at 5000 eggs, and it went in 5 minutes. Each year we’ve worked it up, so this year were at 45,000 eggs and probably toys for 4 or 500 kids.”
Megan Massie with Girl Scout Troop 10486, Black Diamond Council says, ” I hope that they learn to always be active in their communities and just give back whenever they can.”
The egg hunt is on April 19th at Starlight Drive In on Lochgelly Road in Oak Hill, WV. The event will be broken up into two sections.
Kids 3 to 6 years of age signups are from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Followed by the egg hunt from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00am. Empty eggs and prizes from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m.
Kids 7 to 12 years of age signups are from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Followed by the egg hunt from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Empty eggs and prizes from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
If you would like to volunteer to help with hiding eggs, volunteers are asked to come out at 7:00 am on the April 19, 2025.
