Fayette County Man Wanted By U.S. Marshals Arrested

HILLTOP, WV (WOAY) – A Fayette County man wanted by U.S. Marshal’s arrested.

On December 5th, 2018, a Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy was conducting traffic enforcement when he executed a stop on a black two-door sedan. The deputy discovered that the male occupant, Micheal W. Paul 32 of Hilltop, was wanted by the U. S. Marshal Service for a probation violation stemming from felony fraud convictions. Located in the vehicle along with Paul was a loaded handgun. Along with being arrested for the federal probation violation, Paul was charged by the deputy with Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm. He was transported to the Southern Regional Jail to await arraignment.

This case remains under investigation by Deputy C.M. Tomlin of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department.
