Fayette County man arrested on drug charges

SCARBRO, WV (WOAY) – A Fayette County man is in jail on drug charges that resulted after a traffic stop in Fayette County.

According to Sheriff Mike Fridley, a Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy was conducting traffic enforcement last night in the Scarbro area of Fayette County. The Deputy executed a stop on a vehicle for a traffic infraction around 1:23 AM. After receiving consent, a search of the vehicle was conducted. The search resulted in locating drug paraphernalia, scales, and multiple individual baggies. A subsequent search of the person found methamphetamines and heroin on his body.

The suspect, Travis Huffman, 29, of Ansted, WV, was arrested and charged with the felony offenses of Possession With Intent to Deliver Narcotics a Felony.

He will now await court proceedings.
