Fayette County Deputies Investigating A Stolen Vehicle And Shots Fired Call

SCARBRO, W.V. (WOAY) – Deputies are investigating a stolen vehicle and shots fired complaint in Scarbro. Sheriff Mike Fridley released the following information regarding this incident.

Just after midnight Sunday morning Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Cardinal Road in Scarbro regarding a stolen vehicle and brandishing complaint. While speaking to the caller at this location, several shots were fired at a nearby residence on Dove Road, to which the Deputies also responded.

No one was injured from the shots being fired, which were believed to be from a small caliber handgun. Parties from both residences, as well as someone believed to be involved in stealing the vehicle and discharging a gun, may have been involved in an altercation on Terry Avenue earlier in the evening.

One subject who may have been involved in discharging the firearm has been preliminarily identified, and is not from this area. Deputies are attempting to identify another party possibly involved as well. Deputies are also still attempting to locate the stolen vehicle, a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado displaying WV registration 6LG706. Numerous criminal charges may be pending in this case early this week.
