Fayette County Businessman Donates Life-Saving Equipment To Sheriff's Department

FAYETTEVILLE (WOAY) – A local businessman donates life-saving equipment to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department.

The Fayette County Sheriffs Department recently received a considerate donation from a local businessman. Ben Morgan of Fayetteville donated tactical tourniquets for each deputy sheriff in Fayette County. These items are carried on the deputy at all times and are used to stop bleeding from serious traumatic wounds. The officers will attend a training course on the proper use and application of the tourniquets, and then will be fielded by each deputy.

“The proper use and deployment of tourniquets have saved countless lives over the years,” says Sheriff Fridley. “Mr. Morgan’s generous donation will undoubtedly save more”.

If you have life-saving information that the law enforcement community can utilize, contact the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department at 304-574-3590, or through our Facebook page “Fayette County Sheriff’s Department,” or you can contact Crime Stoppers of West Virginia at 304-255-STOP. The Fayette County Sheriffs Department would like to thank Ben Morgan for his donation.
