Fayette County Asks PSC to Deny Water Rate Hike

FAYETTE COUNTY– The Fayette County Commission is asking the Public Service Commission to deny a 24-percent water rate hike.

West Virginia American Water is asking for the increase, which for the average customer comes out to about $11 a month. Commission President Matt Wender says many people in the area are on a fixed income and that extra money could put them over the edge.
