FAYETTE CO., WV (NEWS RELEASE) – A Fayette County man was arrested last night on multiple felony charges by the Central West Virginia Drug Task Force.
Officers with the Central West Virginia Drug Task Force conducted a controlled purchase of methamphetamine from a subject at the GoMart in Alloy yesterday evening. Following this operation, these officers obtained a search warrant for the residence of the subject on C Street in Boomer. The search warrant yielded a quantity of methamphetamine and cocaine, as well as a set of scales.
Also found in the residence was a sum of cash and a .32 caliber handgun. The subject, Elbyheine Bond, 45, of Boomer, is a person who is prohibited from possessing a firearm due to previous drug convictions. The street value of the seized narcotics is estimated to be $10,000.
Bond was charged with the felony offenses of Possession with Intent to Deliver Drugs 2 counts, Delivery of a Controlled Substance 2 counts, and 1 count of a Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm. His bond was set at $100,000 and was placed at the Southern Regional Jail.
