Fayette Co. Man Facing 10 Charges After Attacking Victim, Trying to Steal Truck

WRISTON– A Fayette County man has been arrested after attacking a person and trying to steal their truck.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, Allison Phillips III tried to steal the truck from the victim’s home on White Oak Fork Road in Wriston. At one point, Phillips dragged the victim behind the vehicle as he clung to it and crashed into a ditch disabling the truck.  Phillips also reportedly physically attacked the victim.

Philips was arrested and attempted to escape from the arresting deputy.  Phillips was unable to be arraigned by the Fayette County Magistrates Office, due to his level of impairment.  He was placed at the Southern Regional Jail to await arraignment.

He is facing charges of malicious assault, grand larceny, fleeing, destruction of property, trespassing, driving while revoked due to DUI, battery, reckless driving, battery on a law enforcement officer, and disorderly conduct. He was also booked on an outstanding capias out of Fayette County.
