OAK HILL, WV (BY: ALYSA CARSLEY, WOAY MORNING METEOROLOGIST) – Get ready for a snowy day today.
Temperatures are starting off in the lower-30s/upper-20s.
The front has slowed down a little bit. It is slowly waiting for its upper-level counterpart to catch up.
A strong low-pressure center is up in the Great Lakes right now gathering up all the moisture from that lake. It is going to send it down to us through a cold front that will push through later on this afternoon.
The heaviest snow showers will be between noon and 6 p.m. We’ll see 2-4″ of snow possible today into tomorrow morning.
Our biggest threat will be the snow on the roads.
Snow will die down throughout the early morning tomorrow. and then the cold air sets in.
Highs fall into the teens with a wind chill back below zero degrees.
But those don’t stick around long because temperatures by Friday are back in the 40s and then into the 50s come the is weekend.
