Dry Weather Through Thursday; Storms Return Friday

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): After some lingering showers overnight, we’ll be gifted with a couple of dry days starting today and ending after Thursday. Temperatures will warm up back into the mid-80s and the sun will be blaring down on us as the Summer Solstice approaches ever-closer. We’ll return to some wetter weather at the end of the week and through Father’s Day. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the details:

Today’s UV Index will max out at 7, meaning sunburn will start to set in around 30 minutes without sunscreen. Make sure you hydrate, use sunscreen, and have hats and sunglasses when possible. After a few nice days, we’ll be returning to the wetter weather that is typical in the month of June. Some showers and storms start us off Friday afternoon and will last through the weekend into next Monday. There will be a couple of brief breaks between storms over the weekend, though it will be mostly stormy with the possibility of a few strong storms. We will be keeping an eye on the situation in case these storms do become strong to severe so we can prepare you best. If you have Father’s Day weekend plans outdoors, make sure to have an indoor backup plan as soon as possible. Here’s your 7-Day Forecast:
