WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Today is another warm and dry day with some hazy conditions coming in the evening hours. The winds are calm and the sun is shining, so make sure you hydrate and use sunscreen especially if you’re participating in any extended outdoor activities. However, the dry weather won’t be lasting much longer. Meteorologist Christian Boteler dives into the full forecast:
The hazy conditions will start to settle in around 5 PM today, lasting through the night. We will be keeping an eye on air quality and alert the community if the air quality starts to deteriorate as haze builds. Below is the surface smoke forecast, showing low to medium amounts across the region. Tomorrow will be a repeat of today with even warmer temperatures reaching 85 degrees. The haze will dissipate through the morning and early afternoon, leaving us with sunny skies before the next extended wet streak starts across the region.
Friday will be a light return to the wet weather before the weekend gets drenched by showers and storms. There will be some isolated downpours with the incoming active weather, making flash flooding a concern for vulnerable areas due to the slow-moving front passing through to the north. The rain and storms will continue into the next work week as well, although diminishing on Tuesday as the system finally starts to move out. Here’s your 7-Day Forecast:
