Domestic Dispute Leads To An Arrest In Fayette County

FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WOAY)- A domestic dispute results in a felony arrest in Fayette County.

 

According to Fayette County Sheriff Mike Fridley, on Saturday evening, deputies were dispatched to a shots fired incident in the Hico area of Fayette County.

 

The investigation indicates that a man was traveling on Saturday Road, on his way to confront a man over an alleged extramarital affair involving his wife.

 

The wife, who was in the vehicle with her husband, at one point exited the vehicle and discharged two rounds from a .44 magnum handgun. One round struck the truck with the husband still inside, and the second round’s location is unknown.

 

Deputies managed to contact the male in the truck on US Route 19 in the Milroy Grose area, and made contact with the female on Saturday Road.

 

The female party, Jo Anna Goins (47 of Ansted) was arrested and charged with the felony offense of Wanton Endangerment as well as Domestic Assault. She was released on a $2,500 bond set by the Fayette County Magistrate’s Office. There were no reported injuries in this incident.
