Deputies: Three arrested for shooting at a dad and son in Raleigh Co.

CRAB ORCHARD, WV (WOAY) – A Raleigh County dad playing football with his son Sunday had to run for cover as bullets went whizzing by, according to sheriff’s investigators.

Deputies say they responded to a 911 call on Stover Fork Rd to investigate the shots fired.  As they pulled up, they say two men in a car sped off.  Once they were pulled over, deputies say they found a gun in the trunk.  The two in the car, Ryan Adkins and Brian Trent, said they had been shooting into the woods.

Deputies also say they found several rounds of ammo near the house.

Malory Proctor was also arrested and charged with having a stolen gun.

Trent is in jail on a $25,000 bond.

Adkins is not in the jail’s internet mugshot system.
