Deputies Searching For Car, Suspect After A Hit & Run In Mercer County

MERCER COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department needs your help finding the person responsible for a hit a run.

According to Chief Deputy Joe Parks, the incident happened at approximately 6:20 pm on Saturday, November 24, 2018.  Two women were walking along route 52 near Falls Mill intersection towards Bluefield.

A vehicle struck a 55-year-old woman, spun out, and she hit the ground.  The car fled and the woman was taking to a hospital.  She is currently in stable condition.

Deputies are collecting evidence at the scene but right now there is no description of the car available.
