UPDATE: Two Arrested After Deputies Find Sixteen Marijuana Plants In Wyoming County

WYOMING COUNTY (WOAY) – Deputies find sixteen plants believed to be marijuana and other items.

On January 21, 2018 Deputies T. Sizemore, M. Lane and L. Cook of the Wyoming County Sheriffs Office while looking for an individual, made contact with a homeowner in regards to the individual, while searching the home for the individual deputies discovered 16 green leafy plants which was believed to be marijuana in a cultivation setting.

Deputies arrested two people, James Lester, 43, of Brenton and Layota Lester, 41, of Brenton. Both are charged with possession of marijuana and manufacturing a controlled substance. Both are in the Southern Regional Jail under a 50,000 dollar bond.

Deputies also discovered approximately 39 grams of what was believed to be marijuana, multiple UV lights, digital scales and fertilizer.
