Deputies Are Investigating A Possible Homicide In Rupert

RUPERT (WOAY) – The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the death of Clarence Sheppard, 72 of Rupert, WV. The body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Charleston for an autopsy.

The initial call to law enforcement was a request for a welfare check of Mr. Sheppard due to a lack of contact with him by acquaintances and family. Investigators will meet with officials in the Medical Examiner’s office this date. The death is being treated as a homicide.

Corporal R. D. Baker and Deputy J. L. Pachis are the investigating officers.
