Dense Fog Expected Tonight; Warming Trend Resumes

The sun is back in full-force, but the pattern favors thick fog overnight before a warming trend resumes this weekend into early next week.

Chad breaks down the forecast tonight and details on the continuing warm weather in next week’s forecast.

Today’s morning showers will not have much affect on our future weather, as the weekend will see temperatures in the high 60’s. Next week promises to be even warmer, as we stick to the 70’s across the region. Wednesday and Thursday have possible showers originating from a cold front, but we will not see much relief from the sweltering autumn season.

Part of this warming trend in our area and across the eastern United States is due to the dry season we have had for most of the Autumn season. The graphic below shows the wetness ranking across the country for the month of October. We had our 121st driest month as a state, while other eastern states such as Delaware and New Jersey had their driest season in record.
