White Sulphur Springs, WV (WOAY) – For the fourth straight year, an NFL franchise has started its training camp at the Greenbrier Resort. The Houston Texans have taken their preseason practices outside Houston for the first time, coming to Southern West Virginia.
Players and head coach Bill O’Brien have positive first impressions of the facilities at White Sulphur Springs, with J.J. Watt in particular believing the time they spend at the Greenbrier will lead to success in the 2017 season.
WVU head coach Dana Holgorsen made an appearance Wednesday with son Logan and several assistant coaches; he visited the Saints in previous years when they were at the Greenbrier.
This is the first of 17 total practices the Texans will hold in Southern West Virginia. The sessions on August 15th and 16th will be joint practices with the New England Patriots.
