Latest storm has a history of producing 1-2″ of snow in northern Illinois, eastern Iowa and southern Michigan
Snow starts between 6:00-7:15 p.m. this evening.
Heavy snow rates between 8:30-11:30 p.m., tapers to flurries by 2 a.m. and ends at 10 a.m. tomorrow. Total of 2-3″
Thursday: Snow starts between Noon-2 p.m., tapers off on Noon Friday. 2″ of additional snow.
Biggest drop in temps: 11 p.m. tonight to 2 a.m. Wed: Wind chills drop to -4 degrees for most of the area; -15 degrees Webster, eastern Nicholas.
We are at the point where the snow is compact enough that it’s not melting or subliming. Snow density is up to 40% and the temperature of the snow is 12 degrees.
