BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine’s youth museum is encouraging families to visit its temporary Curious George exhibit.
In mid-March, when the exhibit was only a few weeks old the museum was forced to close down because of the pandemic. The museum has extended the exhibit until September so families can have more time to enjoy the famous monkey.
“Just the few weeks that we were opened our attendance had increased. So we decided to open again in July and we’re going to extend the run until December,” said Director of Parks and Rec Leslie Baker.
The exhibit is open from Wednesday – Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and cost $5 per person.
