Craigsville Fire Chief Killed In Crashed

CRAIGSVILLE (WOAY) – The Craigsville Fire Chief in Nicholas County was killed in a single car crash.

The Nicholas County Sheriffs Department responded to a single vehicle accident in the Craigsville area on the morning hours of Wednesday
Upon arrival the driver appeared to have experienced a medical condition while driving, leaving the roadway into a ditch.

The driver was identified as Timmy Blake of Craigsville, WV. Mr. Blake currently served as Chief of the Craigsville Fire Department Unit #1301.

Mr. Blake has been a member of the Craigsville Fire Department since 1987 and Chief for 23 years.
