Convicted sex offender in Fayette County returns to prison for violating supervised release terms

FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – After serving six years in prison on one count of incest,  one Fayette County man will have to serve more than double that for violating his supervised release.

Raymond Bickley Jr.  was released from prison in 2016 and given 20 years of supervised released. However, he was recently indicted for failing to register as a sex offender and now he must go back to prison.

“The judge sentenced him to 15 years in prison along with an additional 25 years of supervised released to follow that. After he gets out of prison, he’s subject to 25 more years of supervision,” Fayette County Prosecuting Attorney Jeff Mauzy said.

Brickley also did not attend his court mandated therapy.

He was originally indicted in May of 2008 for 2 counts of Sexual Assault in the First Degree, 34 counts of Incest, 34 counts of Sexual Abuse by Parent, Guardian or Custodian, and 33 counts of Sexual Assault in the Second Degree.

He entered a plea deal in March of 2010 to one count of Incest.
