BECKLEY, WV (WOAY)- A growing concern across much of the country and here at home is domestic violence.
Organizers at Valley College in Beckley are putting the final touches on next month’s Community Discussion on domestic violence.
During the event, those that attend can expect to see presentations on warning signs, safety, abusive personalities and patterns.
Beth Gardner, the Vice President of Valley College shared why this event is so important to students, “It does impact our students at our campuses and often times people that are abusive or controlling don’t want their partner to be successful,” said Gardner.
The domestic violence community discussion is set for Wednesday, October 3rd.
The event to be held from ten in the morning until noon.
