Princeton, WV (WOAY)- The city of Princeton is preparing for its municipal election in June.
The four seats up for election are wards one through four. The candidate filing period will run from February 1 through April 1.
To run, each candidate must get at least 25 signatures from registered voters in Princeton.
However, the city recommends that candidates get more than the minimum in case some are disqualified.
The petitions and candidate information packet will be available at the Princeton city clerk’s office starting February 1.
To be eligible, a candidate must be 18 years old and have lived in Princeton for at least a year.
