Fayette Co. man pleads guilty to beating his wife

FAYETTE CO., WV (NEWS RELEASE) — Prosecuting Attorney Larry E. Harrah, II announced that on July 13, 2017, Christopher A. Settle entered a plea to third offense domestic battery, a felony, in Fayette County Circuit Court.

Sentencing will be August 29, 2017. Settle faces one (1) to five (5) years in prison.

On February 5, 2017, law enforcement and EMS responded to the Mountainair Mobile Home Park after his wife called 911 following a domestic dispute. The wife suffered a neck strain and other injuries and was treated at Plateau Medical Center.

Settle was previously convicted of domestic battery on others in 2012 and 2007.

This crime was investigated by members of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department.
