Charleston Man Arrested On Drug Charges

Lewisburg Police arrested a Kanawha County man after a routine traffic stop on narcotics charges Thursday evening. Officers stopped a vehicle driven by Marty Lee Sparks, 57, of Charleston for a routine traffic violation. Upon further investigation, Sparks was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and controlled prescription pills. He was arrested and transported to the Southern Regional Jail near Beckley to await arraignment Friday morning.

Sgt. J.A. Vance and Ptlm. J. T. Williams II are the investigating officers in this incident.
