CHARLESTON, WV (WOAY)- Exciting news for Charleston as officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Civic Centers Grand Lobby Thursday.
The Charleston Civic Center has been working on a $100 million renovation of the center for two years but one project was showcased to the community Thursday.
The two-story glass lobby faces Quarrier Street in Downtown Charleston. The lobby will be a place where visitors can sit and enjoy the center.
The entire construction project is scheduled to be completed later this year.
