WHITE SULPHER SPRINGS, WV (WOAY)— Christmas is a time for religious and cultural celebrations, family gatherings and bringing joy to every child.
“A kid waking up without a present underneath the tree would be heartbreaking,” said Cam Huffman, Director of Public Relations at The Greenbrier.
The Greenbrier hosted its “Dream Tree for Kids” holiday gift drive for the seventh straight year and kicked off distribution today. This successful charitable campaign raised more than $1 million in toys for children in need throughout West Virginia and beyond.
One volunteer, Skylar Radford, shared what the event means to her and her favorite part of the drive, “It’s the joy that the holiday season brings and when the people come, they’re just so grateful and so thankful of what we do here.”
The Greenbrier has been bringing holiday cheer for years by giving back to our community so that every child can have a happy, memorable Christmas.
“It really warms your heart to hear the stories of kids that are excited and surprised and just thrilled to see those gifts underneath the tree,” said Huffman.
