BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – The Beckley Police Department is asking for the publics help regarding a string of vandalism incidents that occurred in the areas of East Park and East Beckley that left cars with dents or broken windows.
More than 20 cases have been reported. It appears that a BB gun or pellet gun was used to shoot cars parked along the street in neighborhoods. The damage reported was to car windows and in some cases dented metal.
We are asking for anyone who has information or might have security cameras that could have captured any of the incidents on video for help. Please contact the Beckley Police Department Detective Bureau 304-256-1708 / 1720 or WV Crime Stoppers 304-255-STOP for a cash reward.
The City of Beckley will offer $1,000 reward also for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible.
