LEWISBURG, WV (WOAY)- Carnegie Hall’s Ivy Terrace Concert Series continues bringing a variety of live music to Greenbrier County.
This will happen every 2nd and 4th Thursday throughout June, July and August. The City National Bank sponsors this event. This series started in 1990 and continues to bring a large crowd every time.
“It continues now, because Carnegie Hall loves being a great corporate citizen and a good neighbor to all these folks that live in Lewisburg and surrounding communities,” said Cathy Rennard, President and CEO of Carnegie Hall. “And look forward to coming out, spreading their blankets and chairs on the lawn, bringing a picnic dinner and visiting with their friends and neighbors around the lawn and listening to wonderful band play for a couple of hours.”
One of the bands in this year’s series was ‘Elements of Us’. They are an independent alternative pop group based in Lewisburg. This is just one of the musical genres’ audiences can enjoy.
“We’ll have some indie pop, will have some americana, some bluegrass, some country, just fun, even gospel. And we opened with kind of a gospel [with the first concert], an original band,” said Rennard.
