Fayetteville, WV(WOAY) A new opportunity for book lovers is popping up this week.
Canary Books is hosting its first used book trade-in event on Thursday, May 7, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the front porch at Wood Iron Eatery.
Community members can bring up to 25 gently used books for a chance to receive store credit toward future purchases.
Organizers say they’re especially looking for fiction, kids’ books, and regional titles, but note that not all books will be accepted.
Anyone wanting to trade in books has to stick around while they are inspected and take back any books that cannot be accepted.
This is part of an effort to build the store’s collection ahead of its grand opening.
