Beckley, WV (WOAY) – The Calvary Assembly of God gifted a sign to Raleigh County Schools.
Pastor John Jordan, along with church board members Eric Floresca and Tammy Acord, presented a framed “In God We Trust” poster to Dr. Serena Starcher, superintendent of schools for Raleigh County.
Sheriff Frank Priddy and Rachel Pauley, both proud members of the cavalry, were honored to be part of the presentation.
This contribution supports compliance with West Virginia Senate Bill 280, which requires public schools and higher education institutions to display the national motto.
The bill prohibits the use of public funds for the purchase of such displays.
