Brown, Greenbrier West Win State Championships

HUNTINGTON, WV (video courtesy WCHS) – For the second straight year, Greenbrier West is the Class A team state champion of West Virginia high school wrestling.

The Cavaliers, who clinched the team championship prior to the final session, also had an individual champion in junior Noah Brown, who defeated Sissonville’s Gavin Shamblin to take the 220 title.

Greenbrier West also had one grappler place second, as Marshall Clere was the runner-up at 113. Two Nicholas County grapplers, along with one each from Independence and Woodrow Wilson, also finished second.
