WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Following a 5-minute shower or storm this evening, for many of you Wednesday will be dry.
The pattern favors one or two storms between Summersville and Bluefield this evening and then most of Wednesday will be dry. The best threat for a storm (30% risk) will be after 3-4 p.m. Wednesday south of I-64. An approaching trough will then trigger rain for your garden late Thursday and Friday. The same trough will bring a splash or two over the weekend before a dry and hot pattern commences early next week.
Did you know our longest dry streak on record was way back in the 1920s?? The time period was mid-autumn, which follows our recent trends of dry weather in late September through most of October.
