Bradley-Prosperity Fire Chief Resigns

BRADLEY, WV (WOAY) – The Fire Chief at Bradley-Prosperity Fire Department resigns due to health issues.

On May 1, 2018 at the Regular Board of Director’s Meeting of the Bradley-Prosperity Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. Bruce W. James resigned as the Fire Chief due to his current health issues.

He will remain a Lifetime Member of the Department and he will also remain as the President of the Corporation at this time. Chief James has been the longest serving Fire Chief that our department has had since it opened its doors over 40 years ago. We congratulate Chief James on his many accomplishments over the years and Thank him for his dedication he has had to serving his community.

Effective Immediately, Bobby C. Palmer will take the position as Interim Fire Chief until the Board of Directors is able to finalize the appointing of the position.
