OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – Bones found in the dirt outside of Plateau Medical Center during construction.
Oak Hill Police Department responded to a report that during some excavation work on the expansion project that is underway at the rear of the hospital that crews had unearthed some type of bone fragments.
Chief Whisman tells WOAY that 10-15 bone fragments were found and they have been sent to the state medical examiner’s office in Charleston to determine whether the bones are human or animal remains.
The process usually takes time to complete.
