Bluefield Police Arrest Man For Drugs And Other Items

BLUEFIELD, WV (WOAY) – A man is arrested and charged with possession of drugs.

On Jan 20,2018 Patrolman HD Browning conducted a traffic stop on Cumberland Road in Bluefield, WV. The driver Stephen Young of Hillsville, Va was given a brief field sobriety test.

At that time Patrolman Browning asked for assistance from K-9 Sergeant JM Danieley and his partner Niko. Niko was able to locate marijuana 1.57 grams and 29.41 grams of crystal meth. Other items sized from the vehicle, 312.00 dollars, bolt action .308 rifle, scales and other paraphernalia type items.

Young was placed under arrest and charged with: possession with intent, left of center, simple possession and improper turn.

Young was transported to Bluefield City Jail and processed where he now waits arraignment.
