Blankenship Already Has Future Plans After Losing The Race

CHARLESTON, WV (WOAY)- Former CEO of Massey Energy Don Blankenship already has plans to go on vacation as his probation ended at midnight.

As for his plans now that the race is over, Blankenship said, “Go on vacation. I’m off of probation at midnight. I’ve not been able to go on vacation, go places I like to go for three years now, and I get my guns back in a day or two. I’m gonna win either way tonight.”

West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey defeated Blankenship and West Virginia U.S. Representative Evan Jenkins. Morrisey will now face off against incumbent Sen. Joe Manchin (D) in the fall.

It was a tight race between Blankenship, Morrisey and Jenkins as heated debates and kept pushing through until the end.
